This corner infielder can mash with the best of them.

The 2018 MLB Draft is coming at us quickly, with the Detroit Tigers having won the right to make the first choice in the draft after winning a tiebreaker with the San Francisco Giants. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Secaucus, New Jersey, with the first round taking place on June 4 and the rest of the selections taking place on June 5 and 6.

This video features high school 1B/3B Triston Casas. Casas is all about power. The high schooler stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs in at around 240 pounds. He has raw power that few in this draft class – high school or college – can match and he has shown the ability to drive the ball over the fences to every part of the field. A bat-first prospect with the athleticism to play either corner of the infield, Casas has a sound approach to his swing and can also hit purely for contact when needed.
